MISSISON STATEMENT
In a Good Way Photography is dedicated to good works on behalf of Native American people. Our photography will
capture the traditions, heritage and ceremonies of families of the Native American and indigenous peoples. Our intent is
to document these things for all peoples to understand and learn by for generations to come.
Photography is not only a way to hold onto an exact moment but to use as a tool for remembering the time around that
moment. As an example: When the picture is taken it is of that moment and a particular subject, but when it is seen in the
future it is also the remembrance of the time during which the picture was taken.
We will accomplish good works by helping indigenous people raise money through the use of these photographs on
calendars and note cards; Coffee Table and Documentary books; museum shows, photo exhibits and galleries. The works will
show the beauty, beliefs, families and landscapes where the indigenous people live, work and play. Settings will include
reservations, event venues, or modern cities.
In a Good Way Photography will always reserve a portion of its profit to fund photographic prints for the people
and families who allow us to take the pictures. It is more important for them to have record of these times than it is for the
company to profit from their lives.
Our path includes honor, respect, dignity and humor which are all done “In a Good Way”. Things happen in
the way they are meant to happen. Even when they don’t, it is what is supposed to be. We have learned this and believe
in this. In A Good Way Photography will work for these goals and good things will be.
Aho!
