This is the second time I photographed Isabella. The first time I was not happy with the finished pictures. So I called the Quintana Family in Tuba City, Arizona and arranged for another shoot. We did this shoot early one Sunday morning in July at Castle Rock in Tuba City. I got to the location early and scouted out some areas. Isabella is one of the funniest little kids I have ever met. She was smiling and talking the entire time I photographed her. In this shot she is 6 months old. I shot her for over 15 minutes. Not one fussy moment the entire time. The fun thing about this shot is that from the very young to an elder, it brings a smile to everyone’s face. It’s also the reason I put her on the front cover of the Faces of Native American Youth 2006 Calendar.
